Unique idea for a chandelier

aa4For some reason I’ve always longed for a chandelier but somehow they were always too small or too expensive.  Why not make your own, I thought.  Sadly I couldn’t make the actual light fitting so that had to be bought.  Then I hacked down rather a lot of an old apple tree and poured plaster of paris all over it – a messy process.  A good coat of gold spray paint and here is the result – OK  unusual (and difficult to photograph) but I was pleased.

  1. Excellent use of apple wood – looks great. Silver would have been nice, too.
