What to do when paintings go wrong

As an artist, and particularly a printmaker I frequently have paintings or linocuts that have gone wrong – what a waste of paper!  So here is a good use for it.  If you aren’t an artist you can still make these boxes from birthday or christmas cards, magazine covers (stick two together for strength) cereal packets, newspaper or almost anything you fancy.

Here’s how to make them – you need two; one very slightly smaller and with taller sides for the base.

  1. Excellent! With mistakes and failed prints I often cut out a portion and make a card with them, with accompanying envelope.
