The Zebras that got rejected

I entered 3 paintings for my local art society exhibition in Farnham and I have to admit to being rather surprised when I got a call to say one had been rejected. When I went to collect it I found it was my Zebras on Blockprint and the reason was that the back of the frame was too messy. Well – rather a disappointment as I was looking forward to showing this work but I do have to admit that the frame is reused and has seen a bit of life. To make up for its lack of visibility here it is:

So in the words of Winston Churchill Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm – I’m off to paint a hyaena!
